Games will take place in Trinidad and Tobago

The seventh Commonwealth Youth Games will take place in Trinidad and Tobago from 4-11 August 2023. The Games were initially scheduled to be held in 2021, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This multi-sport event will see young athletes from across the Commonwealth compete in a variety of sports, including athletics, swimming, cycling, and netball.

The final sporting action of the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games takes place on 10 August with a host of medal events across seven different sports.

The Games will be a great opportunity for young athletes to represent their countries and compete against the best in the Commonwealth. It will also be a chance for them to learn about different cultures and make new friends.

The Sport Programme for Trinbago 2023 has been confirmed, and it features a wide range of sports that will cater to a variety of interests. Some of the sports that will be featured in the Games include:

  • Judo
  • Rugby sevens
  • Squash
  • Table tennis
  • Tennis

The Games will be held in a variety of venues across Trinidad and Tobago, including the Hasely Crawford Stadium, the National Aquatic Centre, and the Arima Velodrome. The Opening Ceremony will be held at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on 4 August 2023, and the Closing Ceremony will be held at the same venue on 11 August 2023.

The Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games are expected to be a major sporting event, and they will provide a great opportunity for young athletes from across the Commonwealth to compete against each other and learn about different cultures.
