Colorado Springs, Colorado - June 28, 2021 - The United States men's national basketball team has announced its 12-man roster for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Led by three-time Olympian Kevin Durant, the squad boasts a mix of experienced veterans and rising stars.
Durant, who won gold medals with Team USA in 2012 and 2016, is joined by fellow NBA All-Stars Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, Draymond Green, and Jayson Tatum. The roster also includes rising talents such as Bam Adebayo, Khris Middleton, Zach LaVine, and Jerami Grant.
Team USA will be looking to defend its gold medal from the 2016 Rio Olympics. The Americans are heavily favored to win in Tokyo, with their closest competition likely coming from Spain, France, and Australia.
The Olympics will be held in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8. Team USA will open its tournament on July 25 against France.
