2032 Games to be Held in Australia
International Multi-Sport Event to Celebrate XXXV Olympiad
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially announced that Brisbane, Australia, will host the 2032 Summer Olympics. The Games, also known as the XXXV Olympiad, will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2032.
Brisbane was awarded the Games at the 138th IOC Session in Tokyo, Japan, on July 21, 2021. The city was the only candidate for the Games and was unanimously selected by the IOC. The 2032 Games will be the first Summer Olympics to be held in Australia since the 2000 Sydney Games.
The 2032 Olympics will be the 35th edition of the Summer Games and will feature over 300 events in 28 sports. The Games are expected to draw over 10,000 athletes from around the world.
